Who we are

A nonprofit built with parents, teachers, and students, not just for them.

ARK (AI Readiness for Kids) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We believe every child deserves to understand the AI tools shaping their world, and the confidence to use them with intention and integrity.

Mission and vision

Our mission

ARK is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to equipping K-12 students with the knowledge, skills, and ethical grounding to use artificial intelligence responsibly, safely, and thoughtfully, for themselves, their communities, and the world.

Our vision

A future where every child, no matter their background or zip code, understands the AI tools shaping their world and has the confidence to use them with intention and integrity.

What we stand for

Five values that guide everything.

From the way we write curriculum to the partners we choose, every decision runs through these five commitments.

  1. Transparency

We help kids understand how AI works, not just how to use it.

  2. Equity

Free curriculum and no-cost workshops, always. Bilingual resources and intentional outreach to underserved communities.

  3. Empowerment

Students become informed participants, not passive consumers. Future builders, critics, and policy-makers.

  4. Community

Built with parents, teachers, and students, not just for them. Real change happens in schools, families, and neighborhoods.

  5. Ethics First

Every lesson grounds AI use in human values and real-world consequences.

Expert review

How modules are reviewed.

Every module shows where it stands, so teachers and families know exactly what they are looking at. We would rather say a lesson is a draft than overstate it.

  1. Review status: Draft

Written by the ARK curriculum team. Ready to use, and it may still change after review.

  2. Review status: In review

An outside expert is checking it for accuracy and for fit with the grade band.

  3. Review status: Reviewed

The review is done. The reviewer's name appears on the module page and below.

Our reviewers

No module has finished expert review yet, so there are no names to show. Reviewers and their credentials will be listed here as each review is completed.
